UNLV Advances to the Sweet 16

The Runnin’ Rebels upset #2 seed Wisconsin to advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA college basketball tournament. Led by senior guard Wendell White’s 22 points, UNLV outplayed Wisconsin, who one month ago were the top ranked team in the country. Kevin Kruger hit four three-pointers including thee crucial ones to give the Rebels the lead with five minutes to go in the game. The Rebels never looked back as they won 64-68. UNLV outshot Wisconsin from all areas including 10 three-pointers to Wisconsin’s 5.

#7 UNLV will take on #3 seed Oregon later this week.
