Fireworks at Red, White, and Boom outdoor festival

Today and tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Red, White, and Boom Festival returns for its 12th year at Desert Breeze Park (8275 Spring Mountain Road).
Well worth the 20-minute drive from the Strip, the outdoor festival is for all ages and features bands, fireworks, food vendors, and carnival rides and games.
Bands today include Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, Seether, Hawthorne Heights, Saving Jane, and Fletch. Jeff Beacher hosts.
Tomorrow is Train, Blue October, Ne-Yo, Colin Hay (from Men at Work), Jack’s Mannequin, and Away Station.
Playing throughout will be DJ Motiv8 (Black Eyed Peas) and R1ck – One (BEP Family) at the VIP tent.
Fireworks will go off Tuesday at 9 p.m. for 20 minutes.
Tickets are $22 per day. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.
As Kurt Vonnegut supposedly said, “Wear sunscreen.”
