Finally played sick, and got screwed by the deck
Finally I feel I played close to my best in all my tourneys, first tourney I played was the 55r on stars, I played some 10/20 cash and some sit ngos at the same time, cashed the $500 sit n go I played and then busted with AJ vs A7. The 55r was fun, at the 100/200 level stars put together a sick table, Gank, Rooth to my direct left, then other good players scattered around the table. We were all deep stacked too, so it was basically the situation I live for in poker, a challenge, bring ‘em on…I love it.. calling raises and raising knowing I’ll be up vs a competant player is the best practice out there, I start thinking, and thats what gets me going. I do well in those tables when we still have post flop play, I managed to build a stack with small pots and good calls/bluffs etc.. then I got 4 outered for the chiplead pot, worked back up, won a massive pot with AA, then got some shitty situations like flopped set calling an allin for 1/2 my stack and getting 2 outered…as a shortstack I sucked out before the bubble then I went back up to around 70k when the blinds were 1.5/3 with 28 left and 27 getting paid I decided to pick it up and shoved on a raise with 96s ran into QQ….meh, I dont mind the shove, but then again it wasn’t necissary, it was borderline I guess. I busted like 24th or so, oh well…
After that I played more tourneys, FT’s winner’s choice I had the chiplead within like 4 minutes and after that I held the top 3 spots for like 4 levels…it was quickly gone in 2 hands where I got sucked out on. On dise I had a 17k stack with like 40 players when 2nd place was at about 12k, with 28 players left I had a 20k stack and chiplead had 21k…I got into a 37k pot with Qs2s on a 2xAs10sQx board vs AJ…gg stack. In the 55k on stars I built up a good stack playing good smallball in the 100/200 and 200/400 levels, then I blew it by slowplaying JJ on a J10A board vs the other big stack. One of those risky plays that will either bust someone or let them get there and then bust u…He got there and crippled me.
Anyway I lost a ton again, of course, but I built up a stack in probably 5/8 tourneys, and got the crap beat out of me by cards…I dont mind that… Good to get back in the groove kinda before tomorrows short handed event. 6 max tourneys in the GSOP and Masters were the only events I did well in…lets hope I can add Wcoop to that list.
